Canada’s Félix Auger-Aliassime secures a spot in the ATP Finals after the outcome of the Hellenic Championship tennis final between Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti. Djokovic, who had already qualified, defeated Musetti to claim his 101st ATP title and 72nd on hard courts but later withdrew due to a shoulder injury. Musetti, needing a win to qualify over Auger-Aliassime, will now take Djokovic’s place at the event in Turin, Italy.
The ATP Finals will take place from Sunday until Nov. 16, featuring players like Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, Italy’s Jannik Sinner, Taylor Fritz, and Ben Shelton of the United States, Australia’s Alex de Minaur, and Germany’s Alexander Zverev alongside Auger-Aliassime. In his first group-stage match on Monday, Auger-Aliassime will compete against Sinner, the current world No. 1, after their recent clash in the Paris Open final which Sinner won to regain the top ranking.
