The match against France showcased a solid defensive effort from Canada, with only one shot on target from the French captain, Abdoulaye Camara, which was easily handled by Canadian goalkeeper Jonathan Ransom. Despite France outshooting Canada 9-5, the Canadian team displayed resilience and determination throughout the game.

The young Canadian squad, bolstered by the additions of Aiyenero, Bossenberry, and Cernic, earned their spot in the World Cup after dominating the qualifying matches earlier in the year.
