“Dabrowski and Routliffe End Doubles Partnership”

Date:

Ottawa’s Gabriela Dabrowski and her doubles partner Erin Routliffe from New Zealand have decided to end their partnership in doubles tennis. Together, they achieved success by winning three doubles titles in 2025 at prestigious tournaments in Stuttgart, Cincinnati, and the U.S. Open.

In an Instagram post, Dabrowski reflected on their journey, describing it as a mix of “titles, tears, and triumphs,” showcasing the unexpected emotional rollercoaster they experienced. Despite their professional collaboration coming to a close, the bond of friendship between them remains strong.

While Routliffe competes under New Zealand’s flag, she also holds Canadian citizenship and previously represented Canada in tennis. The duo initially joined forces in 2023, clinching their first Grand Slam title at the U.S. Open that same year, marking a significant milestone in both their careers.

Although the official announcement confirming their split was made on Wednesday, Dabrowski and Routliffe had already started teaming up with different partners towards the end of the recent season. However, they reunited briefly at the WTA Finals before making the decision to part ways.
