Prince Harry is scheduled to make a visit to Toronto this week, where he will be visiting the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre and participating in a series of events in honor of veterans leading up to Remembrance Day. The prince is set to be in the city on Wednesday and Thursday.
During his time in Toronto, Harry will have a busy schedule starting with a series of engagements on Wednesday morning. Following this, he will attend a private lunch hosted by the True Patriot Love Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to aiding Canadian military members, veterans, and their families.
Later on Wednesday evening, Prince Harry will be present at a fundraising dinner in support of the HALO Trust, an organization that was also championed by his late mother, Princess Diana.
On Thursday, the prince will have a “private visit” with residents at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, as confirmed by a spokesperson from the center. In the evening, he will attend the national tribute dinner hosted by True Patriot Love, though the organization declined to provide further details on the royal’s involvement in the events.
As a 41-year-old military veteran himself, Prince Harry served in the British army for a decade, which included two tours of duty in Afghanistan.
Having relocated to the United States in 2020, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, briefly resided in Canada before settling in Meghan’s home state of California. The couple announced their decision to step back from their senior royal roles in 2020, and Buckingham Palace later confirmed that they would not be resuming their duties as working members of the Royal Family.
In the line of succession to the throne, Prince Harry, the son of King Charles, currently holds the fifth position. His brother, Prince William, is next in line, followed by William’s three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
