Passengers affected by the strike have until Thursday to make changes or cancellations to their travel plans. However, Muzychuk lamented the lack of timely resolution between the airline and its flight attendants, believing the situation could have been handled better.
Another passenger, Kurt Myskiw, found himself stranded in London after his Winnipeg-bound flight was canceled. Despite struggling to reach WestJet through various means, Myskiw ultimately had to purchase tickets from another airline at a high cost, intending to seek reimbursement from WestJet later. He expressed frustration at the financial burden and vowed to reconsider flying with the airline in the future.
Kennedy Gudu, who was heading to Zimbabwe to fulfill a friend’s final wishes, faced uncertainty at the airport regarding his rebooking options. With long waiting times and communication challenges, Gudu expressed doubts about the likelihood of successfully rescheduling his flight.
Tahnee Prior, awaiting a flight to Halifax, shared the struggle of receiving clear information and experiencing flight uncertainties. Despite the difficulties, she decided to book an additional ticket with another airline to ensure she could return home promptly.
