He was 96 years old. Krofft, alongside his brother Marty, was the creative force behind various TV series, including the beloved show “H.R. Pufnstuf,” which gained a devoted following over the years.

Describing the show as their “first baby,” Krofft and his brother brought to life the whimsical adventures of a young boy, a talking flute, and a six-foot-tall dragon. Publicist Adam Fenton shared that Krofft remained passionate about interacting with his fans until the very end.

One of Krofft’s close friends and fellow puppeteer, Ronnie Burkett, reflected on Krofft’s enduring enthusiasm and dedication to his craft. Burkett highlighted Krofft’s ability to stay focused and maintain a childlike passion throughout his long and successful career.

Discussing the subversive nature of the Krofft brothers’ work, Burkett noted that their shows, such as “H.R.
