Canadian Screen Awards week has started with the announcement of the winners of the Children’s Television Awards in Toronto. The event marked the first of six ceremonies, revealing 16 recipients across various categories.
Josette Jorge secured the Best supporting performer, children’s or youth award for her role in “The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia.” She was captured posing with her Canadian Screen Award in celebratory pictures.
Other notable winners include the Best writing award in the pre-school category that went to “Toopy and Binoo Fabulous Adventures – Giggling Flufferoos.” “Thomas & Friends: The Christmas Letter Express” clinched the Best original music award in animation.
Will Arnett bagged the Best voice performance award for his work in “Super Team Canada.” The talented actor was also pictured at the 2026 Academy Awards in Los Angeles.
“Old Enough! – Where’s The Ginger, Please?” won the Best picture editing award in the children’s or youth category. “Macy Murdoch – Tick, Tick, Gone” was recognized as the Best direction in the children’s or youth genre, with Katie Boland receiving the award.
Moreover, “The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia – What is Happening to Me?!” secured the Best writing award in the children’s or youth category, while “Unicorn Academy – Winter Solstice” claimed the Best sound award in animation.
“Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum – I am Jackie Robinson” stood out by winning both the Best writing and Best direction awards in the animation category. The show also received the Canada Media Fund kids’ choice award.
“Daneil Tiger’s Neighbourhood” was awarded the Best pre-school program or series, and “Odd Squad” secured the Best children’s or youth fiction program or series award. The latter show also earned Asha Soetan the Best lead performer award in the children’s or youth category.
Lastly, “Super Team Canada” was recognized as the Best animated program or series, winning two CSA Children’s Television Awards, including Best voice performance for Will Arnett.
