Montreal Canadiens’ Kirby Dach will be sidelined for the next four to six weeks due to a fractured foot, as confirmed by the team on Sunday. To compensate for this loss, the Canadiens have brought up Joshua Roy from their AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket.
This injury adds to the Canadiens’ growing list of setbacks. Recently, the team also announced the extended absence of Alex Newhook and Kaiden Guhle due to surgeries. Newhook underwent ankle surgery, expecting a four-month recovery period, while Guhle had a procedure for a partially torn adductor muscle, predicting an eight to ten-week recovery time.
Dach, who has contributed five goals and two assists in 15 games this season, will be dearly missed by the team during his absence.
