Hockey Canada revealed the official Olympic hockey uniforms on Thursday for the men’s, women’s, and Para teams set to compete at the upcoming Milan-Cortina Games. Athletes will have a choice between two jersey designs: a white one featuring a red maple leaf and a red one with a black maple leaf.
The maple leaf crests on the jerseys have a multi-tone design resembling a diamond, symbolizing the athletes’ resilience under immense pressure. According to Hockey Canada CEO Katherine Henderson, the jerseys embody the spirit of Canadian hockey and the unwavering support of fans.
The jerseys, designed by Nike, were presented during the Rivalry Series opener between Canada and the U.S. David Shoemaker, the chief executive officer of the Canadian Olympic Committee, emphasized that the jerseys represent Canada’s rich Olympic hockey heritage and evoke national pride and passion.
The women’s quest to defend their gold medal begins on February 5, a day ahead of the opening ceremony. The men’s team, featuring NHL players for the first time since the 2014 Sochi Games, will play their first game on February 12. The Para hockey tournament kicks off on March 6, marking a significant moment for hockey history with the return of NHL players and the establishment of the PWHL.
The anticipation is high as the teams gear up to represent Canada on the global stage at Milano Cortina 2026, aiming to bring home gold medals in the respective tournaments.
