“Survivor 50 Finale Shock: Host Spoils Winner Before Finale”

Date:

In a surprising turn of events during the finale of Survivor 50, host Jeff Probst accidentally revealed a major spoiler before the anticipated fire-making challenge even aired. The blunder occurred as Probst prematurely announced Rizo Velovic as the loser of the crucial challenge, determining the Final Three contestants.

Following Aubry Bracco’s victory in the final immunity challenge, securing her place in the Final Three, Rizo Velovic and Jonathan faced off in the fire-making challenge. During a live segment, Probst brought Velovic on stage to discuss his fire-making skills and inadvertently disclosed that Velovic would be the last juror of the season, indicating his elimination from the competition.

The mistake was met with audible gasps from the live audience as Probst realized his error, prompting him to jokingly refer to it as a “Survivor twist.” Despite the blunder, Bracco emerged as the ultimate winner of Survivor Season 50, claiming the $2-million US prize after a jury vote of 8-3-0 against finalists Jonathon Young and Joe Hunter.

No official statement has been issued by CBS, the broadcaster of the show, regarding the incident.
