“The Rolling Stones Unveil ‘Foreign Tongues’ Album and Single”

Date:

The Rolling Stones have announced the upcoming release of their latest album, “Foreign Tongues,” set to debut on July 10. As part of the announcement, the band also unveiled a new single titled “In The Stars” and confirmed their presence at an album event in Brooklyn later today.

Their previous album, “Hackney Diamonds,” was released in 2023, marking their first collection of original songs in 18 years since “A Bigger Bang” in 2005. The album also holds significance as the first full-length release following the passing of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021. Despite his absence, Watts will make a posthumous appearance on two tracks, with additional contributions from renowned artists like Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith of The Cure, and Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Mick Jagger expressed his enthusiasm for the recording process of “Foreign Tongues,” highlighting the intense yet passionate sessions held at Metropolis in London. The band collaborated once again with acclaimed producer Andrew Watt, known for his work with artists such as Post Malone and Justin Bieber.

Leading up to the album reveal, fans were teased with cryptic clues, including posters around London under the band name “The Cockroaches,” a vinyl-only track release, and billboards in major cities featuring the album title in various languages. The band’s official website was also updated with studio-style video clips, a slide puzzle hinting at the album cover, and a brief teaser of a new song.

The anticipation for “Foreign Tongues” has been building, and with the confirmed release date approaching, fans are eagerly awaiting the full album experience.
