“Toronto Blue Jays’ George Springer Wins Silver Slugger After Season Resurgence”

Date:

Toronto Blue Jays leadoff batter George Springer has clinched a Silver Slugger accolade following a remarkable season resurgence. Springer secured the honor as a designated hitter and also garnered a nomination for outfield play. The 36-year-old American athlete recorded 32 home runs and 84 RBIs while boasting a .309 batting average and an impressive .959 on-base-plus-slugging percentage, ranking him second in the American League. His performance in the 2025 season marked a significant comeback after a lackluster 2024 campaign where he hit a career-low .220 with only 19 home runs. A veteran of four All-Star appearances and the 2017 World Series MVP, Springer previously clinched Silver Slugger awards with the Houston Astros in 2017 and 2019. Notably, he delivered a pivotal three-run homer in Game 7 of this year’s AL Championship Series, propelling the Blue Jays to the World Series, where they ultimately succumbed to the Los Angeles Dodgers in a thrilling seven-game series.
