Reflecting on the 20-year journey since the release of “Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life,” O’Malley now finds himself immersed in various adaptations, including a movie, an anime, and a video game. The latest addition to the franchise is “Scott Pilgrim EX,” the second video game iteration featuring the music-loving protagonist on a quest to rescue his bandmates from an evil robot clone.
Unlike a direct sequel, “Scott Pilgrim EX” represents a collaborative effort between O’Malley and indie developer Tribute Games. Revisiting unfinished concepts from the previous game, the team drew inspiration from past experiences to enhance gameplay elements and expand the Scott Pilgrim universe.
