Cardi B Expresses Concern Over Hamilton Concert Ticket Sales

Date:

Cardi B is expressing concern about her upcoming concert in Hamilton, Canada. The popular rapper, currently on her Little Miss Drama Tour in North America, noted that while most of her tour dates are selling out, the Hamilton show on March 31 is not seeing the same level of ticket sales.

In a now-deleted Instagram story post circulating on social media, Cardi B playfully warned her Canadian fans, stating, “And I’m letting you Canadians know, if you break my sold-out streak, I’m going to … I’m gonna …I don’t know what I’m going to do. But y’all better go buy those tickets.”

Comparing ticket sales, Cardi B mentioned that most tour dates are nearly sold out, with around 80% of tickets sold for the Hamilton show at TD Coliseum, in contrast to the higher percentages for other locations. A check on Ticketmaster showed numerous available seats for the Hamilton concert, while only a few scattered seats remain for the Toronto show scheduled the day before.

Various other tour stops like Kansas City, Chicago, and Newark also have limited seats available. Ticketmaster was contacted to confirm the sales percentages but has not yet responded.

Currently, tickets for the Hamilton show are available on Ticketmaster starting at $118, while in Toronto, prices start at $314. However, some resale tickets in Toronto are listed as low as $230 each.

During previous tour stops, Cardi B achieved sold-out performances in several cities, including Los Angeles, Detroit, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, and Dallas. She also successfully sold out a show in Vancouver earlier this year.

Despite the rapper’s warning to her fans, Hamilton Mayor Andrea Horwath emphasized that the city has a strong music culture and has seen significant turnout for events at TD Coliseum.

Local artist Leon (Eklipz) Robinson echoed this sentiment, attributing the slower ticket sales to economic factors such as rising living costs. He believes that Cardi B’s playful warning may actually boost ticket sales for the Hamilton concert.

While Robinson noted a lack of promotion for the concert in Hamilton, he anticipates that Cardi B’s message may ultimately lead to a sold-out show. The rapper is set to perform in Chicago and New York City before heading to Toronto and Hamilton at the end of the month.
