Los Angeles authorities apprehended a woman following reports of gunfire near the residence of Grammy-winning singer Rihanna. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and it remains uncertain whether the artist was present during the incident on Sunday afternoon.
Law enforcement was alerted to shots fired in the Beverly Hills neighborhood, leading to the arrest of a 35-year-old female suspect who was found with a weapon. The individual is now in custody on a $10 million bail, facing potential charges of attempted murder pending an announcement from the district attorney.
While the police did not disclose the resident of the property, local sources indicate it may belong to Rihanna, as public records link the estate to Evan Jehle, associated with Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation. Requests for comment from Rihanna’s representatives were unanswered.
Footage from KABC-TV revealed apparent bullet holes in the property’s front gate, with reports of gunfire originating from a vehicle across the street, as relayed by a police dispatcher. The detained woman’s connection to Rihanna, if any, remains unknown.
This alarming event echoes a past trespassing incident at a different Hollywood Hills property owned by Rihanna in 2018. In that case, the intruder was convicted of stalking and vandalism, receiving probation as punishment.
Rihanna, a renowned artist with numerous accolades, including nine Grammy Awards and multiple chart-topping hits like “We Found Love” and “Umbrella,” expanded her ventures into the cosmetics industry with Fenty Beauty in 2017. Recently, she and A$AP Rocky welcomed their third child, a daughter named Rocki Irish Mayers, in September.
