Canadians have received several nominations for the Actor Awards, which celebrate outstanding performances in Hollywood films and television shows. The nominations were revealed by actors Connor Storrie from “Heated Rivalry” and Janelle James from “Abbott Elementary.”

Seth Rogen and Catherine O’Hara are both nominated for exceptional leading roles in the series “The Studio” on Apple TV. Vancouver-native Rogen is the creator of the series. Martin Short is also nominated for his leading role in Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building,” competing against Rogen.

Both “The Studio” and “Only Murders in the Building” are in the running for outstanding ensemble performances in a comedy series. The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on Netflix from Los Angeles on March 1.

The film “One Battle After Another” has received a record seven nominations at the Actor Awards, making it a strong contender. The Paul Thomas Anderson movie leads with the most nominations in the movie categories, competing against other films like “Frankenstein,” “Hamnet,” “Marty Supreme,” and “Sinners” for outstanding cast performances.

The cast members of “One Battle After Another” have earned individual acting nominations. Notable nominees include Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet, Michael B. Jordan, Ethan Hawke, and Jesse Plemons for best actor. Chase Infiniti is nominated for best actress, contending with other talented actresses.

The series “The Studio” has garnered the most nominations for a television or streaming series, with a total of five nominations. This continues its success streak after winning several Primetime Emmys last year. The series also received nominations for lead actor and actress categories.

In the drama genre, “The White Lotus” leads with four nominations, including outstanding ensemble performance. Other nominees in this category include “The Diplomat,” “Landman,” “The Pitt,” and “Severance.” “The White Lotus” also received acting nominations for Parker Posey, Aimee Lou Wood, and Walton Goggins.

Overall, the Actor Awards nominations have set the stage for an exciting event, with various talented individuals and productions vying for recognition.
